The cultural season on Lake Constance kicks off with the Bregenz Spring Festival. Austria’s most popular annual dance festival, which first took place in 1987, and now attracts up to 10,000 visitors each year.
The Bregenz Spring Festival is most popular for its several premieres and sensational choreographies. Prestigious ensembles from all over the world will again perform this year from March to May 2012. In 2011 the Bregenz Spring Festival – the best-known dance festival in Bregenz – celebrated its 25th anniversary. Popular dance groups from Canada, Belgium, France, Austria and even Australia will perform this year on the Bregenz Spring Festival stage.
