Paragliding in the Bregenz Forest
High-altitudes in the flying paradise of the Bregenz Forest
Vorarlberg is a Mecca for paragliders. The flight area in the Bregenz Forest: Niedere bei Bezau-Andelsbuch and Diedamskopf bei Au-Schoppernau are known for their laminar ridge lifts and good thermals.
The training hill and the high-altitude areas in Andelsbuch, Bezau and on Diedamskopf offer countless options as well as starting points in nearly every direction and a beautiful view of the Bregenz Forest, its mountains and the Lake Constance region.
The special feature is that multiple flight areas can be offered within 10 km in every direction. Paragliders float into the valley like colourful butterflies on nice days. The thermals in Niedere - especially in the summer - are friendly; the flight area numbers amongst the three best in all of Europe.
A deep blue sky, snow-covered mountain peaks and wonderful landscapes - let your dream of paragliding come true in any season!
For a few moments of flight, you will forget everyday life on the ground and enjoy nothing other than the unforgettable view and the freedom of a bird. Anyone who dares can make a tandem jump with a paragliding guide in all three areas. In Bezau, there is Flugschule Bregenzerwald – die Gleitschirmakademie. (Flight School Bregenz Forest - the Paragliding Academy). More information is available at www.gleitschirmschule.at.
