It doesn’t matter whether you are looking for a challenging climbing tour or a comfortable hike with the family – hiking in Bregenzerwald promises indulging nature experiences for all sorts of levels thanks to more than 2,000km of sign-posted hiking paths.

The tour in Schönebach is both stamina challenging and extraordinary because of its landscapes. It’s not too much of a challenging hike, but the durance of 3 ½ hours might require good stamina.

Route description

Leave your car at the Post Bezau Hotel and take the bus, no. 36, from Bezau to Schönebach. Your hike will then start at the Schönebach parking.

Most important reference points during the hike

Schönenbach car park - Schönenbach Vorsäß - Unterspitzalpe - Almisguntenalpe - Stoggertennalpe - Osterguntenalpe – in direction of Kretzbodenalpe until Vorderen Hänslervorsäß – car park

Places for a nice break

  • Almisguntenalpe (is located below Diedamskopf at a coomb)
  • Stoggertennalpe (highest point of the hike at 1,500m above sea level)
  • Osterguntenalpe (is located on the return to the parking)
