Presentations, discussions, concerts, hikes and culinary moments provide answers to issues of social relevance, and are designed to get people thinking and have fun at the same time. From the 7th to the 10th of September 2017, it will be time again to discover the potentials for a good time and to debate them in very special places of the Bregenzerwald. Have you got time? Do I need that? How was I? Of course, nobody will find an ultimate answer to these questions, but it's not about that. Rather, the interdisciplinary discussion rounds and presentations offer suggestions to answers concerning the big issues of our society: Time and stress, endulging and forgoing, performance and evaluation. The invited discussion leaders and presenters will share their point of view and give personal suggestions to answers.
What does the biochemist, Tamiflu inventor and Bregenzerwald native Norbert Bischofberger say about increasing work times and burnout? Find out what director Doris Dörrie learned from Zen meditation teacher Edward Espe Brown on his cooking and meditation courses, or what graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister has as an answer to the question “How was I?”. Ingo Metzler, a cosmetics producer from the Bregenzerwald and long-standing production partner of Susanne Kaufmann™, gives an insight into his strategy for taking decisions. That’s just a tiny selection of the colourful mix of scientists, artists, creatives, media professionals, architects and entrepreneurs to deliver diverse suggestions. There will also be plenty provided to satisfy the ears and stomach over the four days, by leading chefs Milena Broger, Thorsten Probost and Philip Rachinger, and singers George Nussbaumer and Phillipp Lingg, Mavie Phoenix, Giant Rooks and Fräulein Hona. A fitting conclusion to the festival will be Sing Dela Sing, who will reinterpret karaoke singing.
The venues of the FAQ are not conference facilities or halls. No, they are lush meadows, crosses on the summits of towering mountains, a cable car summit station, a former sawmill, converted railway stations and stops, and the Werkraum in Andelsbuch.
