Susanne Kaufmann was on the hunt for a balanced skin and body care range for the spa of her Hotel Post Bezau. She has stayed true to highly effective indigenous plants – they have continued to be the most important ingredients of her holistic 90-product cosmetic line. Susanne Kaufmann™ is now popular all over the world.
Susanne Kaufmann was clear from the very beginning that the fragrance of papaya would not match the scent of the Bregenzerwald. Because the search for an authentic, harmonious cosmetics line for the spa was turning out to be so difficult, the idea to make her own was born. But how? Just a few villages along, Ingo Metzler was successfully making cosmetics from whey. In him, Susanne found a sparring partner and producer. He knew how to implement her vision of improving the skin’s potential with natural ingredients and the latest technology. And 15 years later, most of the Susanne Kaufmann™ products are still manufactured there using the latest procedures and gentle processes before being packaged by hand.
The actual effectiveness of beauty products is frequently called into question. It’s no rarity to find products with almost 100 ingredients. Susanne Kaufmann was clear from the very beginning that she wanted to base her products on ingredients that complement each other effectively, making them five to eight times more effective than comparable, conventional products. Susanne Kaufmann also developed matching facial and body treatments in her spa in Bezau. Characterised by the healing approach of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), “we should preserve the good that we have for as long as possible” the treatments enhance internal and external beauty.
The spa in Bezau is a place of beauty and well-being as well as being a center of excellence, training academy and creative workshop for innovative product developments. For several years, the multi-award-winning spa concept with its products and treatments has been successfully implemented in select hotels in Austria and abroad. For example, it can now be found at the Waldhaus Sils (Switzerland) and in the legendary Four Seasons – The Surf Club Miami (USA).
