With Rena Brandenberger

3-nights Dance Retreat

The dance retreat offers exciting days of movement with a focus on varied, contemporary dance training as well as exciting input on dance technique, dance history, anatomy, bodywork (e.g. yoga, Feldenkrais & Co.), improvisation and choreography – and lots of relaxation and flow. The dance retreat course programme teaches basic knowledge of contemporary dance and is therefore also suitable for people with no previous dance experience.

Retreat 2024

With movement through the day

Dance and flow

The dance class is a colourful mix of everything that unites Rena's dance world: contemporary dance peppered with elements from modern, ballet and jazz – but Feldenkrais and yoga are also incorporated into the training. Technical and strength-building exercises as well as bodywork elements are packed into a varied warm-up. This is followed by dynamic diagonals with turns, jumps and floor elements, sometimes practised individually, sometimes embedded in choreographic combination diagonals. The choreography combo at the end is a creative mix of the elements learnt: sometimes fast and dynamic, sometimes slow and lyrical.

The flow class is a relaxing yet activating mix of methods from yoga, Feldenkrais & Co. Varied stretches and soothing body mobilisations ensure a successful start to the day.
