Susanne Kaufmann is the fifth-generation of family hoteliers who founded the renowned Hotel Post Bezau in the Bregenzerwald, a picturesque valley nestled in the Austrian Alps and a destination sought out for its beauty and restorative powers during all four seasons of the year. This is where Susanne grew up, learning the ropes of hospitality.
Tradition and modernity
The harmony between old and new can be felt in many ways in the Bregenzerwald, and so it can in the architecture and design of POST BEZAU. Architect Leopold Kaufmann, father of Susanne Kaufmann, and her brother Oskar Leo Kaufmann have designed the hotel significantly.
Susanne Kaufmann’s life and work combines traditions from the Bregenzerwald with a cosmopolitan trade. At the young age of 23, after graduating from the hotel management school Centre International de Glion, she took over the hotel in Bezau and opened up a new chapter in the story of this established house.
At the young age of 16, while educated at the Hotel Post Bezau, she recognized her passion for beauty, therapy, and the well-being of her guests. She accompanied the success of cosmetics as an ambassador for the brand for eight years and now incorporates her knowledge and experience into the new concept.
